i have an acne prone skin and oily skin,i’ve tried this home remedies and it worked for me.not that fast but my face looks smoother and brighter as well as my pores and acne doesn’t trigger anymore.Ive mixed the lemon juice,1-2 table spoon of pure honey,4-5 table spoon of sugar as a scrub as wells as removing dead skin and 1-2 table spoon of green tea as anti oxidant massage this into your face and leave it for 15-30 min and you will notice the difference.Put it on the glass bottle so that you have your own home made mask.Store it in fridge for about 2 weeks.you can use this remedies twice a week or every other week.Im using this for about 2 weeks now and i assure you you won’t regret this for trying it out..:)

4. Use makeup sparingly. During a breakout, avoid wearing foundation, powder, or blush. If you do wear makeup, wash it off at the end of the day. If possible, choose oil-free cosmetics without added dyes and chemicals. Choose makeup that is labeled as "noncomedogenic," meaning it should not cause acne. Read the ingredients list on the product label before buying.
Avoid touching or rubbing your face, since that can make acne worse. Try to keep your cell phone from touching your face, too. Use earbuds instead of having the phone against your skin. The diagnosis of acne vulgaris is primarily clinical.4 History and physical examination can help determine if there is an underlying cause of the acne, such as an exacerbating medication or endocrinologic abnormality causing hyperandrogenism (e.g., polycystic ovarian syndrome). Other dermatologic manifestations of androgen excess include seborrhea, hirsutism and androgenetic alopecia. Endocrinologic testing is not ordered routinely for women with regular menstrual cycles.2,3 Older women, especially those with new-onset acne and other signs of androgen excess (e.g., hirsutism, androgenic alopecia, menstrual irregularities, infertility), should be tested for androgen excess with measurements of total and free serum testosterone, dihydroepiandrosterone, and luteinizing and follicle-stimulating hormone levels.5 Pelvic ultrasonography may show the presence of polycystic ovaries.5 In prepubertal children with acne, signs of hyperandrogenism include early-onset accelerated growth, pubic or axillary hair, body odour, genital maturation and advanced bone age.
Shower twice a day. Take a shower or bath in the morning and at night. Alternatively, take a shower in the morning and then again after physical activity, like exercise, or sweating. Whip up a batch of oatmeal as usual, or by following the directions on the box. When it is finished and still hot, add two tablespoons of honey. Let mixture cool to room temperature. Keep in mind it retains quite a bit of heat, so really make sure it’s a comfortable temperature before applying it to your skin-the last thing you need is a burn! Leave it on for 20-30 minutes. When it has set, rinse off with warm water and pat your skin dry.
Wear sunscreen everyday and do not tan. Ultraviolet Radiation is the number one cause of premature aging. It also leads to skin cancer in high enough doses. Treat the sun like the death ray that it is. Tea tree is perfect for acne and you also add potent antimicrobial soothing essential oils like lavender, neem and and UMF honey to beef them up (or spices like Turmeric for its healing and antibacterial properties). 7. Stay out of the sun. The sun's ultraviolet rays can increase inflammation and redness, and can cause post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (dark discoloration). Some acne medications may make your skin more sensitive to sunlight. 1. Acne is caused by dirt/dirty skin– Acne is not caused by dirt, poor hygiene, not washing your face and so on. The reason it is suggested that milk would cause acne is because of the extra hormones in it-but unless it’s ingested, this doesn’t really do much. For the most part, it just soothes the irritated skin, and helps tone down the redness. Cleopatra swore on the milk baths she took, and well, she was Cleopatra. You could also use yogurt. Mix 1 ½ cups of brown sugar and 1 ½ cups of brown sugar, adding in a few tablespoons of coarse sea salt for extra exfoliation, and mix. If you’re using the vanilla bean, scrap out the caviar (the inside stuff) and mix it in at this point as well. Put about 2 cups of this sugar/salt/vanilla mixture into a liquid measuring cup and pack it down nice and snug. Pour the extra virgin olive oil over the top, and let it soak through half the mixture, leaving a little layer on top. The oral antiandrogen spironolactone can be added if oral contraceptives are not effective.3 Spironolactone is a 5α-reductase inhibitor when administered at higher doses.35 Spironolactone, used alone or as an adjunct at doses of 50–200 mg/d, has been shown to be effective in improving acne, but this is based on limited evidence.2 However, patients should be warned about possible side effects, including hyperkalemia, menstrual irregularities and feminization of a male fetus.
