Proactiv is the worst! I had the exact same problem..i tried to get off of it three times but kept breaking out more and more. The key to getting off proactiv is to use vegetable glycerin soap and baking soda. Wash your face with veg glycerin soap. Be sure to has no colors, dyes or chemicals! Then after washing, take some baking soda and mix it with a little water to create a paste…this is a very similar exofliant to proactiv. I am washing with dove bar soap. I moisurize with a home mixture of Aloe vera and tea tree oil mixed together. Together it is a great combination for combination skin. Takes care of the oil and the dryness. Also helps deal with any previous scarring and repairs damged skin, minimizes wrinkles while combating acne. I feel the time of putting harsh chemicals on the largest organ of the body which is then ingested into the cirrculatory system is over. Hello, I’m 13(8th grade) and have struggled with acne since I was 7. I’ve used multiple face washes, moisturizers,etc. and nothing seems to work.
