With acne, the inflammation will develop to the extent that the follicle is ruptured and a pustule with fluid is formed. As a result, pimples and acne cause inflammation that can result to severe damage to the skin.
Avoid irritants. Avoid oily or greasy cosmetics, sunscreens, hairstyling products or acne concealers. Use products labeled water-based or noncomedogenic, which means they are less likely to cause acne.
Of all forms of laser and light therapy, the most evidence is with photodynamic therapy (PDT) in treating acne.  PDT involves a photosensitizer applied to the skin, time allowed for it to be absorbed by the pilosebaceous units, and then application of a light source to activate the photosensitizer, generating reactive oxygen species to damage the glands and reduce Cutibacterium acnes (formerly Propionibacterium acnes). A 2016 Cochrane review was unable to draw firm conclusions regarding the benefit of light therapy in acne, owing to the variation in wavelength, dose, photosensitizer, comparator interventions, and treatment frequency that were studied.  However, despite the interstudy variation, many individual trials show PDT to be effective in reducing lesions in mild-to-severe acne, with 5-aminolevulinic acid and methyl aminolevulinate photosensitizers and red light source as promising treatment components. [64, 65]
Drink lots of water. Although we’ve all heard to drink eight glasses of water a day, there isn’t a set amount on how much water you should consume. Water helps to detoxify your body and purify your skin, so make sure you drink water often throughout the day.
You’ve seen the words “non-comedogenic” on product packaging, and know that it means that it won’t clog your pores. But the products you put on your face that don’t say that—typically ones with heavy oils—can clog pores and create pimples. And never sleep in your makeup; the pressure of your face in your pillow in addition to makeup can earn you a pimple overnight.
Of course, there are many factors that contribute to acne, and diet is just one of them. Along with eating cleanly and avoiding acne triggers, there are many other factors that can contribute to your situation.
Low self-esteem: Many people who have acne say that their acne makes them feel bad about themselves. Because of their acne, they do not want to be with friends. They miss school and work. Grades can slide, and absenteeism can become a problem because of their acne.

Cosmetics. Cosmetics don’t necessarily worsen acne, especially if you use oil-free makeup that doesn’t clog pores (noncomedogenics) and remove makeup regularly. Nonoily cosmetics don’t interfere with the effectiveness of acne drugs.
I just applied the lemon juice, on the bridge of my nose in between my eyebrows, concidering I have acne and dry skin there. It burned for a few seconds but quickly went away. I’m pretty young and my first day of school is in about five days so I’m hoping it’ll clean it a little for school. I wouldn’t mind, or care if I still hadn’t a little acne but I need most of it cleared up. Hoepfully this works!
Topical skin care products containing such ingredients as salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide and nicatinamide (also called niacinamide) can be effective for people with mild acne and are widely available without a prescription. Examples include Benzac and Papulex products.

The adverse effects of benzoyl peroxide include skin irritation, dryness and redness. Direct contact with eyes or other mucous membranes will cause severe irritation. 2) Flour mask. Simply take a small container and fill with about 2 tbsp. (30 mL) of water. Heat the water till warm (not scalding hot, warm). Add small amounts of flour until you get a paste. When you first feel a pimple forming, try makeup artist Matin Maulawizada’s trick: Press it with a cotton swab soaked in witch hazel, then with another one soaked in eye drops containing a gentle anti-inflammatory, like Visine Maximum Redness Relief Formula. Run the brush over a stick concealer and coat the inside of the scar. This hides the shadows that make these scars appear more recessed. Then you can follow with a mattifying liquid foundation.
