Bacterial resistance to antibiotics most frequently arises with intermittent use of topical antibiotics. To reduce the chance of bacterial resistance, apply topical antibiotics liberally twice daily and also use benzoyl peroxide and/or a topical retinoid.

Another quick way to get rid of pimples is the use of lemon juice, which is rich in vitamin C. Lemon juice helps pimples dry up faster. Be sure to use fresh lemon juice and not bottled juice, which has preservatives. There are a couple of ways to apply this remedy.
Avoid Smoking – Smoking causes free radicals and toxins to build up in your body. These cause hindrances in the normal functioning of your systems and organs and can make your skin look dull. Smoking can also trigger acne.
Chemical peels are performed to reduce fine lines, treat wrinkles, improve the appearance of mild scarring, treat some types of acne, and reduce age spots. During the treatment, a chemical solution is applied to the skin. The skin blisters and eventually peels off.
The fruits and vegetables supply the body with essential vitamins A, C, E, and K and also minerals that will ensure optimum health of your skin and make it clear of any pimples or zits. These fruits and vegetables also contain antioxidants that will detoxify the body (48, 49).
Of all forms of laser and light therapy, the most evidence is with photodynamic therapy (PDT) in treating acne. PDT involves a photosensitizer applied to the skin, time allowed for it to be absorbed by the pilosebaceous units, and then application of a light source to activate the photosensitizer, generating reactive oxygen species to damage the glands and reduce Cutibacterium acnes (formerly Propionibacterium acnes). A 2016 Cochrane review was unable to draw firm conclusions regarding the benefit of light therapy in acne, owing to the variation in wavelength, dose, photosensitizer, comparator interventions, and treatment frequency that were studied. However, despite the interstudy variation, many individual trials show PDT to be effective in reducing lesions in mild-to-severe acne, with 5-aminolevulinic acid and methyl aminolevulinate photosensitizers and red light source as promising treatment components. If not treated, acne can cause scarring. Scarring is more likely when the skin is inflamed, swollen, reddish and painful, such as cystic acne and nodules. This form of acne penetrates deep into the skin, causing damage. Delaying treatment can cause scarring too.
T-Zone And Nose – This zone is connected to the liver, and a pimple here suggests an issue with the functioning of the liver. Also, skin problems in this area are linked to the heart function and blood pressure.
What also works AMAZE is baking soda and hydrogen peroxide. You mix it together until it’s a paste then leave it on your face for 10 minutes. It’ll sting some but that’s only because it’s getting rid of the acne infection (that’s why the honey and lemon stings. Alot of you are saying it leaves your face red, so just put some face lotion on after OR coconut oil.) It feels really good and looks really good after you take it off. Ice works sort-of but to get a better result try using really hot water (it opens up the pores) then put some sort of face stuff on THEN put the ice on which closes the pores so that dirt and oil can’t get in and make black heads. What also works wonders is ACV (apple cider vinegar) ice cubes. (trust me on this I know what I’m talking about. I know just about everything there is to know about anything that has to do with your body, health, acne, weight, hair etc.)

Washes can be used once or twice daily, and should be applied for thirty seconds before rinsing thoroughly. Topical benzoyl peroxide gels and creams should be applied once daily, removing after two hours, for three days, and then, if tolerated, applied once daily, at night, and left on overnight. Some patients may tolerate twice daily applications.
Severe acne is indicated by the widespread presence of nodules and cysts, and/or a large number of inflamed pustules and papules. Scarring is likely to be present. Benzoyl peroxide is the
product many people try, because it’s pretty easy on the skin. Typically, you’ll start with a lower strength no matter what medicine you use. This helps you get used to it. Your doctor can tell you if it’s time to try a higher strength or to switch to something different.

Read the article for more ways you can get rid of acne, like keeping your face moisturized and using a toner!

Protect your skin from the sun. For some people, the sun worsens acne. And some acne medications make you more susceptible to the sun’s rays. Check with your doctor to see if your medication is one of these. If it is, stay out of the sun as much as possible. Regularly use a nonoily (noncomedogenic) moisturizer that includes a sunscreen.
