The last thing you want to do is over-cleanse your face, which will dry it out too much. In this case your body will react by just making more oil, and it becomes a viscous cycle. I have! Recently started using it, about three weeks ago. It is aswmoee, I feel comfortable going without make-up and that is a big deal for me because I have always been self conscious of my scars and blemishes. My friends and family always comment on how much my face is clearing up, and I feel great! After only three weeks of using it to, I can’t wait to see what a few months will do! Just make sure you use it on a regular basis, get on a schedule and it works wonders. I also find that drinking water with 1/4 of fresh lemon squeezed in it helps too. Gross, but it works. ok so i have mild-severe acne (severe when it comes to dark spots left by the acne) and ive tried everything and nothing seems to work. My skin is also VERY sensitive and VERY dry yet oily at the same time. Nothing the dermotaligists perscibed worked. I started drinking more water, adding some lemon juice. I also did my research and found a couple home remedies that seemed to do the trick for me. A couple times a week before I hop in the shower i use a banana peel and massage it around my face. Sounds weird i know but it works! I leave it on for no more than 5 minutes and wash it off. I also do this mask which consists of sugar, honey, lemon juice, green tea, and apple cidar vinegar. Burns a little, but after a couple minutes wash off and boom. Ice your face after that and within no time you’ll start to see a difference. Salicylic acid and azelaic acid. Azelaic acid is a naturally occurring acid found in whole-grain cereals and animal products. It has antibacterial properties. Hmmm the only thing I can think of would be a reaction to (most likely) the cinnamon. Cinnamon can also increase circulation, and bring blood to the surface of the skin, which can result in redness/warmth (but that shouldn’t last for hours on end.) Otherwise, it’s not unusual for some people to experience discomfort with cinnamon (itchiness, mild “burning”, etc.) in which case it’s best just not to apply it at all. Sometimes I experience itchiness with face masks (of any kind) when left on for any extended amount of time, but it shouldn’t be tormenting. If it’s still bothering you, rinse with plain old water, pat dry, and apply a gentle moisturizer or aloe. Sorry it didn’t work out!

This doesn’t mean you can rest you chin in your hands or anything-it means don’t itch, scratch, pick, peel, pop, or rub at your skin. I distinctly recall the constant discomfort of acne, especially when treating it with irritating topical stuff. Almost subconsciously I would touch my face-probably every 2-3 minutes on average-and pick at my breakouts. Of course, this just made things go from bad to worse.
